While I explained a little about Matcha in the previous post, here’s a little about this tropical 🌴 water, the coconut 🥥. Keep reading to find out how that vibrantly green smoothie is made.
Coconut, not only is it a great way to stay hydrated but it’s vital for the proper functioning of the nervous system, it’s rich in calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium. The medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) in coconut are converted into ketone bodies as well which potential as a replacement energy substrate for the brain. Here’s my favorite way to enjoy this combination in my smoothie drink.
•1 cup coconut water
•half cup coconut cream
•half cup kiwis 🥝 and mangos 🥭 •1 scoop non GMO protein powder
•1 handful of baby spinach leaves
•2 tsp matcha tea powder
•1 tsp non sweetened shredded coconut
1- combine ingredients in a blender.
2- Blend until smooth and creamy.
3- Drink and enjoy shortly after blending. Cheers to going green!
